SMS ROTC Students Compete at

Seminole County JROTC Drill Meet


The Sanford Middle School AFJROTC led by Capt. Evan competed at the Seminole County JROTC Drill Meet held at Ovideo High School on Saturday, May 22, 2010. Below are how students finished along with pictures from the competition.

1st Place:
•    Squad Drill Team (2nd Lt. Lopez)
•    Individual Academics (Andrew Jones)

2nd Place:
•    100 meter relay (Team Leader: Salvator Silvano)  
•    Team Academics (Team Leader: Christina Meyers)

3rd Place:
•    Armed Rifle Team (1st Lt. Cullen)
•    Individual push-ups (Jaycen Flannagin)

Sanford Middle School
AFJROTC

On December 13th the Sanford Middle School AFJROTC competed in the County Drill Meet at Greenwood Lakes Middle School. Sanford Middle earned 1st place in the Armed Rifle Platoon, 1st place in the Knock-out Drill, and 3rd place in Color Guard routine.
