SECME is a competition engineering club that meets on Monday afternoons at Sanford Middle School from 4:00 to 6:00 throughout most of the school year.  SECME students work in teams throughout the school year designing and constructing projects such as water bottle rockets, mousetrap cars, bridges, gliders, and solar cars.  The club competes each February at the UCF Regional SECME competition.  The club also competes at our own Sanford Middle School engineering competition each March.  The sponsors of the club are Ms. Stowell and Mr. Shipman.
