Student Council is an organization that represents the Sanford Middle School student body to the community and our school administration. It also carries out projects and fundraisers to help various groups in the community, and is responsible for planning, decorating, and running the annual spring eighth grade dance. Student Council consists of four officers elected by students and representatives chosen by the social studies teachers, Officers are president, vice president (a seventh grader who then takes over as president the following year), secretary, and treasurer. The sponsors of Student Council are Ms. Stewart and Mr. Travis.
