Sanford Middle School

Mrs. Karen Torres goes above and beyond the call of duty in her capacity as a Technical Assistant at Sanford Middle.  Rarely can an individual continue to impress others with her professionalism, spirit, and organization consistently, but Mrs. Torres does just that!  We are awed by her ability to effectively meet the demands of keeping our media center running.  In addition to the media center duties, Mrs. Torres coordinates our daily attendance and developed an attendance hotline to provide our parents a better way to communicate student absences with our school.

As an employee, Mrs. Torres is exceptional.  She is detail-oriented, cognizant of trends in education, and an enthusiastic worker.  Staff members like Ms. Torres are what create such a phenomenal team at Sanford Middle School.   She is highly respected amongst all colleagues, who regularly complement her on the way she handles our student and teacher needs.

We are proud to introduce Mrs. Torres as Sanford Middle’s Support Person of the Year, and we thank her for everything she does beyond the call of duty.
